Compassion for the disabled Organization is built on ethical journalism and human centered storytelling as tools for social transformation. Unlike traditional service delivery organizations, persons with Disabilities are placed at the center of their own narratives, speaking for themselves about their challenges, needs, aspirations, talents and achievements.
Mugabi Gabriel is a Ugandan Journalist and the founder of compassion for the disabled Organization. Motivated by his experience in media and his passion for social impact, he established the organization to amplify the voices of people living with disabilities across the country. Through digital storytelling and media platforms, Mugabi Gabriel works to create a space where individuals with disabilities can share their experiences, raise societal issues and inspire community action and compassion .
Working together, they support storytelling initiatives, community engagement, and digital media activities that highlight the experiences and needs of individuals with disabilities.
